Cheer Weekend!

My sister Emily was down this weekend with her three all-star cheer teams for a competition at the Anaheim Convention center. Wow, it was a blast from the past for me! For those of you who don't know, I was a cheerleader in high school and I loved competing and our last competition every year was held at the Anaheim Convention Center, so there were so many memories flying through my mind of my years of high school. We even ran into my old cheer coaches who have their own all-star team here in orange county. Travis got a glimpse into what my life was like for three years and what our future could be like if we end up with any cheerleaders in the family. I actually think he liked it! Haha! I had such a great time and I am so proud of my sister for what she has accomplished. Her teams did such a great job and the whole weekend was a huge success.
Here is Travis and Graham waiting outside the competition floor. Graham was such a trooper the whole day.

Graham and me together.

I got to sneak back into the practice area and watch her youngest team practice before they performed in front of the judges. These group of girls were absolutely adorable and they had just the cutest facials!

Here they are practicing one of the stunts.

Here is Coach Emily giving the girls a pep talk. I am so proud of her! She has built this cheer empire!

What cute little dancers!

This little girl was such a doll. I wish I had a better picture but you seriously couldn't take you eyes off her! She is an amazing performer!

Here they are on the big stage. They did such a great job!!

On Monday, we went down to Disneyland to met Emily and her cheer team. Here is an adorable picture of Graham and his aunt Emily.

It was so much fun seeing my sister, even for a little bit. I hope that we get to see her again really soon!

It's that time of year again!

Spring has come upon us which only means one thing for our family, swimming has begun! Travis is pretty much consumed with coaching the swim team at his school and we hardly ever get to see him but it is also a very exciting time because I LOVE going to swim meets. One of the mom made Graham this adorable T-shirt so I had to take pictures of him in it before we went to his first meet.
And of course.....
So cute!

First Train Ride!

A few weeks ago, Travis had to go down to LA for his graduate class and we decided it would be fun to take the train down. It ended up being a bust (not at all what we thought it would be like) and we only were there for thirty minutes but we had a great time on the train. Graham especially loved it!
Here is Graham, myself, and my brother Tyler at the train station.

Look at his face! He was fascinated by the whole thing.

He just pressed his face against the glass the whole time. We loved the train! I think next time we want to take it down to San Diego and ride the surfliner, Graham will love seeing the ocean fly by!

Six Months!

It's hard to believe, but my little boy is seven months old as of yesterday!! I don't know where the time goes but he is getting so big! He is no longer my little baby anymore. I took this picture a month ago when he was just barely six months when we fed him his first real meal. I really think he enjoyed his carrots, what do you think?
I love the look on his face. What a cutie! Since that day we have fed him apples, bananas, pears, squash, and sweet potatoes and he has loved everything we give him! He is very exciting for the day he can eat everything that we eat, he watches us very carefully with every bite.

We also took him in for his six month appointment and here are his stats:
Height: 27 3/8 inches - 75.90 percentile
Weight: 19 1/2 lbs - 75.90 percentile
Head: 17 3/4 inches - 75.90 percentile
What a big boy I have!

He is just such an amazing little boy. He is constantly asking for his "da da da da" and would spend his whole day just observing the world. He loves rolling from his back to his stomach but doesn't quite want to roll from his stomach to his back (I know he can do it, he just won't). He loves to stand and I know he is itching to start running around but I am hoping he will crawl first! He has the greatest laugh that I am hoping to capture on video very soon and if you aren't careful, he will give you a big open mouth kiss! His favorite Saturday morning activity is to lay in bed between Travis and I where he just stares at our faces (or is that my favorite Saturday morning activity). He loves to be outside and if he is ever fussy, all I have to do is walk outside and he immediately calms down. I just love watching him grow up, if only he wouldn't do it so quickly!!

Tour of California

For those of you who don't know, Travis and my dad are HUGE bicycling fans. My dad has been watching the Tour de France for a while now and has been a huge fan of Lance Armstrong for a long time. Travis has been riding his bike to and from work (I know, he is amazing!) and has been researching bikes every day for the past year. When we go to bed at night, I read a book and he looks up bikes on the internet. So, when we heard that the Tour of California was passing through Pasadena, of course, Travis and my dad just had to go. I also jumped at the chance because I also have found myself becoming a fan mostly because it is just around me. I'm so glad I went because it was pretty much the most fun day I have had in a long time. I can't even describe to you the feeling of being surrounded by an atmosphere like this. Now usually, in a road bike race, the racers race by you and you don't get to see them again, but this particular part of the race finished with a loop that they raced around several times. Everytime they passed by, it was so awesome! We even got a glimpsed of Lance!
Here are the big fans, Travis and my Dad, and future bike fan, Graham.

Here we are together. We just had the best time ever!

Here is the lead group coming around the corner, I wish I knew how fast they were going, they were flying by!

The boys just had the greatest time! Look how happy they are!

All in all, we had such a great time. I think this is going to be a yearly event for our family.

Here is a video that I captured when the racers came down the hill for the first time. Travis and my dad are hilarious! I can't fake their excitement.

Disney Day!

On Valentine's Day, we went to our favorite bagel shop in the morning where we met up with Travis' mom and dad and also Tyler and Desiree, who had just flown in that morning. We sat and chatted for a while and then made our way to Disneyland! We had such a fantastic time showing around Teagan, Shaun, and the kids, as well as Barbara and Morris, our favorite place to go. Again, I forgot my camera at home (I thought I had brought it but then realized it was sitting right where I left it, on my kitchen counter at home :( ) but Teagan took some amazing pictures and so I get to borrow them! WARNING: Many, many, many pictures ahead! :)
Graham had so much fun talking and smiling at his cousin Charlotte. He loved every second they were here!

We walked right in and saw Pluto. He was nice enough to stop and chat with Charlotte.

Cute, happy boy!

Talking away!

I think Teagan and Shaun had the most fun out of us all. Here they are on one of many rides they got to go on.

For lunch, we had to take them to the Corn Dog Castle. Here is Teagan and Charlotte waiting in line.

You can't not have some cotton candy when you go to Disneyland!

We stopped by the Bug's Life Land where the girls got to ride some fun rides. Just as a side note, I left the house with NO diapers for Graham. While they were in Bug's Life, we went to the Hotel California guest services desk where they gave three diapers for free! Disneyland is the best!

Haha! I love this picture! It looks like a Paparazzi photo with our famous Teagan being dragged along by her famous husband Shaun! Don't you think so?!

Shaun, Teagan, and Charlotte enjoying the bumper cars.

Mommy and Daughter! So cute!

Preparing to get "soaked" on Heimlichs Chew Chew Train! I think they were a little disappointed. :)

Everyone at California Adventure. Next stop, Disneyland!

Everyone at the entrance to Disneyland.

It was crowded, but not too bad. Here is Charlotte and Teagan walking by Tomorrowland.

We loved having Grandma and Grandpa with us! Hopefully we can start a tradition!

Charlotte's favorite ride, the tea cups! Here is Barbara, Charlotte, and Teagan posing in the teacup.

We almost lost Charlotte to the Wicked Witch from Snow White!

This was as close as we could get to the Princesses. The wait was two hours!! Charlotte was disappointed but there is always next time!

What a cute face! Lillian is just so precious!

My two boys! Can you believe how much they look alike!?

Grandpa and Lillian, starting to show their tiredness after such a long, happy day!

Of course, we had to drag the kids on Pirates of the Carribean. Graham loved every second!

Teagan and Lillian waiting to get on the ride.

Graham with his Dad waiting for his first "big boy" ride.

Teagan, Shaun, Lillian, and Charlotte did have a chance to go on the teacups. What fun!

I love Lillian's face in this picture.

Lillian and Graham had a chance to play with each other while we were eating dinner.

Lillian asleep at the end of such a great day!

Charlotte asleep after the end of a great day! And I don't have a picture, but Graham also fell right asleep!

The day is over! :( I think everyone had a great time. Hopefully we will get to do it again, very soon!
