One Month Already!?!

I can't believe that it has already been one month since Graham was born!! It has been an amazing month filled with so much happiness and of course, our challenges. Graham and I are still trying to figure things out, but these last few days have been very promising!! We have been going through some problems with breastfeeding (I have a low milk supply, as I discovered) and so for the past week I have been supplementing with formula. Graham has done a complete 180! He was so fussy after eating and I thought I was starving him even though we had spent the last two hours breastfeeding, that I finally called the doctor and this is what he suggested. Things have been going so much better. Now we are just trying to figure out how to get him to sleep better (he will sleep for hours in bed with us, or in his car seat, but only 45 mins in his crib). If anyone has any suggestions, let me know!
We went to the doctor yesterday for his one month well-baby check-up and here are his stats:
Height: 22 inches - 50.75%
Weight: 10 lbs 5 ounces - 50.75%
Head: 15 1/4 circumference - 50%
He is my average little boy, but not average in looks! Look how cute he is:
I tried to have him sleep in his bouncer and he did for a little while. I had to take a picture because I loved how his little feet were hanging over the side!

And here he is sound asleep in his car seat. I am sure he slept here for four hours!! So content. :)

Here he is getting a bath from daddy. He actually like the bath when we have him sitting like this. I think the plastic is hard on his back when he is leaning back.

I have put Travis in charge of the baths, its their special time together. (sorry about the g's, it was too good of a picture to pass up)

Another one of his position he likes to sleep in, on his stomach. I only put him on his stomach when he has fallen asleep in my arms and I need to put him down for a minute. He loves it though!

A close up on his angelic face. He has really brightened up our lives!

Well, we are looking forward to the blessing tomorrow. I just want to emphasize again that EVERYONE is invited. Afterwards, we were planning on having some sandwiches at my parents house so be sure to come! The info is in the next post.

Blessing Date

Hey everyone! Sorry I forgot to post this as well. We are scheduled for the blessing on September 28th. I hope that everyone can be there! :)

First Baths and Root Canals

Well, we were hit with the curse of the broken camera so I haven't been able to take any pictures and all the adorable pictures I had taken since he was born were gone! It turns out that something happened to my memory card and so I found another one (it can only hold like 25 pictures) and here are some fun pictures from the last week.
Unfortunately, since we didn't have a camera, I didn't get any pictures from when he had his actual first bath, but lets pretend that this is it! :)
Here is he, all snug in his towel, before we put him through the torture of bath time.
Sometimes he actually enjoys his bath but others (like above) he has a hard time.
He actually loves it when we pour water over his face (we're hoping this means he is the future Micheal Phelps).
All clean and comfy in Daddy's arms!
Yes, he is sucking his thumb. This was the first time he had done this. I'm thinking he will be quite the thumb sucker.
Here are some more cute pictures that I had taken at my parents house on Sunday:
Quite content in Grandma's arms.
Here he is with Great Grandma.
She was happy to finally see his eyes open. :)
Happy with his Grandpa
With his mom.

As for me, things have been kind of crazy these last couple of days. Last June I had a cavity filled and have been experiencing extreme tooth pain ever since then. It was really difficult to have the procedure done while 7 months pregnant so I told myself to just wait it out and just hoped the pain would go away. Well, the pain came to a climax last week and rediated through my whole right side of my mouth and my jar. It was awful! It was keeping me up at night (besides getting up to feed Graham) and it was so bad it was bringing me to tears. So, I finally was able to get an appointment yesterday with the dentist and sure enough, I needed a root canal. The first part of the process is to clean out the roots and put medicine down there to kill all the bacteria that had infected my tooth. I am also on penicillin. Today, my mouth is relatively free of pain which is such a relief after putting up with pain for the past three months. However, I have been getting a fever on and off since last night, it was really bad last night. I started getting one right in the middle of feeding Graham, which he luckily didn't seem to mind. I put him to bed and proceeded to "freeze" to death. I had to wake Travis up to help me out and he had to stay home from work today because I am completely helpless when I have a fever. I am feeling a little bit better now, but my goodness, it was horrible!! My root canal will be completed next week and I am hoping that tonight will go a lot better. So, Graham is doing wonderfully but I definitely can't say the same thing about his mom!

Blessing Question

Hello everyone! Well, Travis went back to work yesterday and boy do I miss him! It was so nice to have him around to help, whenever I needed him. But, Graham and I are having a good time getting into some kind of routine, although for him that means stay awake all day, while Dad is gone, and then promptly falling asleep as soon as him gets home. It makes having any free hands available to do anything quite hard but I think we are getting the hang of it. I actually was able to get him to sleep right now and so I am actually going to eat lunch! :) I am loving being a mom and taking care of him though. I can't even begin to explain the feeling of joy it gives me!
So, anyways, we are trying to plan when we are going to have the blessing. We have a couple of options and I just want to get everyone's opinion. Everyone is invited of course and we would like to accomodate as many people as possible and make sure that anyone who wants to come, is able to come. So, the dates are September 28 and October 12. Let us know if there is a date that is better for you or if either one is fine. We can't wait to share this special experience with as many of our family and friends as possible.
