Swim Banquet

The absolute last job (let's hope) for Travis as Head Swim Coach for this year was to put on the Swim Banquet. It was held on May 29th and it was incredibly successful. We had an amazing dinner by our favorite Italian resturant, Roma di Italia, followed by presentations by all the coaches about their teams. Travis, of course, did an amazing job and everyone agreed that it was the best swim banquet they had in years. It was held at the school's cafeteria which is actually this huge center which I am assuming holds tables during the day for the kids to eat. It wasn't as emotional as my cheer banquets back in the day luckily (those lasted for several hours) but I think the kids were all proud to be recognized for their accomplishments. I am very proud of Travis, his boys varsity team ended up 6th in the county with an 8-2 record and his girls team ended up 10th in the county with a 7-3 record. Next year should be even better for the girls. I can't wait to see what happens!
Here are some pictures from that night:
Here is Travis doing his duty and congratulating all the swimmers one by one for doing such a great job this year.
Here is most of his boys varsity team. I know, they looked thrilled to be there. :)
Here is Travis talking to the crowd. I know you can't see him very well, but I wanted to capture how involved this banquet was. One of the moms did this amazing dvd of the season and they showed that at the end.
This was one of the pictures on the dvd that I had the mom send to me because I thought it was such a great picture of the two of us. This was taken at one of the swim meets.
Well, Travis, I am so proud of how hard you worked this year coaching. It had its ups and downs but I think you handled everything like a champ and I can't wait to see how things turn out next year!

Also, one of the surprises from the banquet was that the team pitched in and got us a $450 gift card to Babies R Us (I was so surprised and excited!) and one of the swimmers made us a little T-shirt that says "Coach Harmor Rocks!" on the back for Graham. It was so adorable!

Finally some pictures!

Yeah! We finally have a computer that works and I can actually post some pictures. So this is a long post but here are just a bunch of random pictures from the last couple of months:

So, I wanted to start with the best. Here is our little baby Graham from our last ultrasound, almost a month ago. I love to look at his little profile, I think he is going to be a handsome little guy. We have a doctor's appointment tomorrow as well and I am not sure if I am going to have another ultrasound, but if so, I will definitely post the updated picture.
In March (I think), Travis and I decided to drive up PCH starting in Malibu up to Santa Barbara. The drive was absolutely gorgeous, the weather was perfect. In Santa Barbara, we stopped at one of the local beaches. They were really nice, but rocky!
Perfect spot for a couple shot.
This was our view almost the whole way there. So pretty!

Here is the baby bump at 20 weeks, my half way point! I thought I was so huge, who knew that your stomach could actually stretch as much as it has already and I have so far to go!

My husband always gives me the most gorgeous flowers. These were waiting for me when I woke up on our Anniversary. There is nothing more beautiful than these! I love you baby!

For Travis' birthday, I got him his favorite gift, a Burberry tie. He has been wanting one with some red in it so that he can have some Mater Dei pride at work. I think he looks really handsome, even with the red polo shirt!

Another perfect couple shot at his birthday dinner.

Travis and I finally were able to get away, just the two us. Our last vacation alone until the baby comes. We drove up to Big Bear to stay in my aunt and uncle's cabin. It was just what the doctor ordered. We did absolutely nothing, I didn't bring any hair dryers or makeup, it was just us. I don't think we could have asked for anything better.
Here is some proof that my hubby does the dishes! He has been so amazing these last few months and so helpful.
I even managed to get Travis to play scrabble with me. I play on a regular basis on the computer with my grandma and my sister so I thought I would beat him bad, but it is much harder in person, especially when we don't have a dictionary. He won one and I won one. I found such joy playing with him, something so simple.
The weather was perfect but we couldn't resist having a daily soft serve ice cream cone from McDonalds each day.

The one thing we had to do was see the new Chronicles of Narnia movie in the small local Village Theater. We loved the movie and we had such a great time!

Travis was loving being so close to the ski resorts, even though there was no snow. We got some donuts our last morning there and this was our view while we enjoyed them. So beautiful!

Here we are in front of the cabin. My aunt is so wonderful for letting us stay there. It was absolutely perfect. And this is another good baby bump shot, 25 weeks along!

Here is just a shot in nature to show that when I say a cabin in the mountains, it was actually a cabin in the mountains. Fresh air, wild animals, and the smell of pine in the air. Just perfect.

Lastly, I got to celebrate my first mother's day and my husband surprised me with this coach diaper bag! I couldn't believe it, I didn't even know if he would think of me on Mother's day since I am not technically a mother yet. I love it and I am so excited to use it when Graham comes, but not until then (sorry love).

Barbara Jane

Now seems as good enough time as any to honor my mom! Out of 365 days a year, only spending one of them to say the things that I feel the other 364 is just silly & unreasonable. Every time I get to see you mom now in my adult life is a true gift. Living 400 miles away is hard sometimes, on us both, but at least it is a afternoon drive away. You should know that we spend time at night talking to Graham about his mommy, his daddy, his gramdma, his grandpa, his aunts and uncles, and his cousins all of whom live in Arizona. Mom, he already loves you -- I can just tell. August is right around the corner, and I hope that you are cancelling any and all plans to come out and spend time with Ashley, me and the baby in the hospital (and thereafter). We really can't wait!

Much love!

Talk to you soon.

Travis

Happy Mother's Day!

I just wanted to write a quick note and wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day! I am so lucky to have a mom that has been such an amazing example to me in everything that I do and I know that I don't tell her enough how much I love her. Being pregnant has made me think about what kind of mom I want to be and the one thing that I constantly come back to is how I want to raise my home in the kind of environment I was raised in, with parents who loved each other and loved us and every day did whatever they could to make sure that we knew how much they loved us. Thank you mom for your love and support! I am so blessed to have you in my life and know that I can always count on you to be there for me.
Here are some fun pictures from the last couple of years:

Here is my mom and I in London. She has always taken me to amazing places. I am very lucky.

Here is my dad, mom and I at graduation from BYU. She has always made sure to be there for the most important events in my life.

Here we are at Disneyland. My mom has always shown me how important it is to spend quality time with your family, doing fun things together, like go to Disneyland.

Happy Mother's Day Mom - I love you!

Birthday!!

Today is a very special day because it is Travis' Birthday!! He is turning 28 today, my old man! :) In honor of his birthday, I thought I would share a few pictures that I thought were adorable.
Here we are celebrating his 24th birthday! Can you believe it? He looks like a little baby with his bright blue eyes. I can't even believe that was four years ago.
Here we are in Hawaii a year later. We actually spent his 25th birthday in Hawaii in the airport, if I remember correctly. I know that this is probably his favorite birthday, he is begging to go back.
Kind of out of order, but thats ok. For his 24th birthday, I bought him tickets to the Swimming Olympic Trials in Long Beach. This is probably his favorite gift. I wish I could get the tickets again for this birthday, but they are somewhere in the midwest.
This is him at his last birthday at claim jumper, his favorite place for steak!!
Here is one of my favorite most recent pictures. Happy Birthday my love! Thank you for letting me be a part of your life and allowing me to spend these past four birthdays with you and I look forward to the many, many, many more we have to celebrate.
Now, Travis is also lucky enough to share his birthday with his sister Teagan so of course, I need to take the time for a shout out to her.

Here we are in Hawaii where we also got to celebrate her 23rd birthday. She was pregnant with Charlotte at the time and I don't know if anyone knows this, but my due date, Aug 31, is what her due date was for Charlotte. I look at this picture and I can't believe how much bigger I am than her. She doesn't even look pregnant!

Here we are with Teagan, Shaun, Morris, Barbara, Charlotte, Travis and I. I put this picture up because I was admiring my bangs. I miss my bangs!! Teagan cut those for me and she is amazing of course.

Happy Birthday Teagan! Thanks for being such a great example of a mother and a great friend. Hopefully we will get to see all of you soon! Love you!

Happy 3 Year Anniversary!

Three years ago, Travis and I were married in the San Diego Temple. These past three years have been amazing and I am so excited for all of the years that we have together in our future. I always hoped that married life would be filled with complete bliss but I never imagined that it would be as blissful and happy as it is now. Travis was so sweet this morning. He got up early and brought me the most beautiful flowers! It was so thoughtful. I love when he surprises me. I wish that our computer was working so I could show you pictures. Three years has flown by and I am so glad that I am able to spend it with the love of my life! :)

Also, some baby news update. It's official! Graham Tyler Harmor will be making his entrance to the world late August! We thought that it was going to be a boy and today, the ultrasound definitely proved that. Everything is going amazing and he is growing healthy and strong. He is already 1 lb, which I guess is on the bigger size. As soon as our computer is fixed, we will post our ultrasound picture for everyone. Now its time to start buying everything this little boy needs!

Update!

Hello everyone! As you can see, we have been extremely bad about doing a new post. The problem is that we finally got our computer back and then we moved, so we didn't have everything set up for a while. Then last week I finally had a chance to put everything in its place, the computer was all set up, and then the worst happened....it broke again!! The exact same problem as last time. So, now I am at work and I had a few minutes so I thought I would just explain that we are indeed alive and well and will hopefully have our computer back again soon. So many things have happened in the last month and I have some fun pictures, but it will have to wait.
But just so everyone knows..the baby is doing great. We think we know what it is but we have another thorough ultrasound on Wednesday where we should know for sure, for sure.
As soon as our computer situation is all figured out, I will definitely post some fun pictures. Thanks everyone!
